Q: I tried to install Pac-Skin on my shotgun, but it would not stick. Was it defective or was I doing something wrong?A: The only time we have had problems with Pac-Skin not adhering has been when any product has been used on the surface that has left an oily, non-stick residue on the gun. Also if you have used a silicone cloth on the gun, it will not be able to adhere. This also will not stick if you have cleaned even a synthetic stock with soap and water or your wood stock has an oil finish. Many dish washing liquids and other soaps have hand lotion in them that leaves an oily residue on the surface. We recommend cleaning the surface with a clean dry cloth, with Simple Green, Orange-All or a similar cleanser prior to installing.
